The Design Process.
Every project is unique but the process is always more or less as follows.
I listen to you and and ask questions. It is important to understand your business, where you are coming from and where you want to go so I can generate an accurate brief and start work on your project fully understanding what you’re after. I ask questions like: What are the objectives? Who is your audience? And who are your main competitors?
This is where our ideas become visible. I take the brief and creatively find solutions. I consider the visual design, and information heirarchy, explore different possibilities, generate ideas and develop them into solutions. I constantly analyse, improve and make changes to ensure the ideas answer the brief and communicate your messages effectively while being user friendly.
After developing the design we will have a meeting to present the ideas and have an honest discussion about all the options. It’s important at this stage for us to consider what works for you and what does not, what you like and what you do not. It may be that we go back to stage 2, but quite often from here it’s straight on to stage 4.
I deliver, on time and on budget.. hooray! Time for a well earned cup of tea.
If it’s a print job then I can arrange for printing to be done by good quality printers to ensure you get great quality print work with a great finish; if it’s a website then it is published online.
